“ This is not a fancy place with lots of seating for large groups, but it is wonderfully authentic food. Our service was good and my Gorditas Al Pastor was delicious. I will definitely return. “ I live about 8 minutes away from this place and never knew it existed! It's in an odd area (mixed in with residential homes off of the main street), which is why I never knew about it. Today I was craving Mexican food and just happened to Google "Mexican food near me" and Coronado's popped up with a 4.8/5 star review. I just HAD to try it! I don't know if I was starving or not, but it's the best Mexican food I've ever had and I've had stuff out of Texas by the border, in Cancun in and out of the tourist zone, and also out in California. Coronado's is authentic as you can get! The chicken nachos were simply incredible. Those alone are enough to make me go back. I also got the chicken tacos combo, which was amazing. They're a little small, but between the tacos AND the nachos, I was not able to finish it all in one sitting. Which was fine because I finished it all a few hours later lol. I can't wait to go back. I'm honestly pretty thankful that I found this place. It's not in a busy area, it was peaceful inside, and the food came fast. I've thing that I would add though is a dessert menu! Maybe some churros or fried ice cream? Something! Just a thought! ”

“ This place may be the best overall restaurant in the Roanoke area. Everything is home made and delicious. You can taste the love and dedication in every dish. I lived in Texas for years and have been to probably 200 taco shops in my life all over the country, and this one is the best. Their carnitas is shockingly good. Their fajitas can happily feed two people with leftovers. Even their chips and salsa is out of this world. I really don’t know what else to say. 12/10. Go here. ”
“ Absolutely the best Mexican restaurant in Salem and most of Roanoke. Taco salad, street tacos and chimichamga's are just phenomenal. Green flag! When Hispanics are also eating their, you know it's good. Get those early for lunch, around 1045 or 11 am, or you'll have to wait to get in. Husband and wife team are a great example of teamwork. ”
“ If you’re reading this review- order it already. Everything is honestly amazing. I’m so skeptical about living here for over a year and no one suggesting it. The automate service is awesome and fast. The generous amount of meat on each dish is insane in a post-Covid world. Everything is really fresh. You can taste the mango, pico, and every other flavor from the separate parts of each dish. I’ve never had rice appear to be so simple, yet so flavorful. If you have an open palette not biased to Taco Bell and heavy salts and seasoning- this is your place. I got the Al Pastor Taco platter, Steak Nachos, Carnitas Gorditas and my family of three has not even gotten to the California Burrito because we are stuffed! I meant to order more and I’m glad I didn’t for now because I am absolutely stuffed. I will definitely be stopping by frequently. And they have delivery. ”
